The 6 Year Hugo Migration

For the last few years, this site has been running in Wordpress on Namecheap. It wasn’t perfect, but it worked and didn’t require any maintenance. Recently a Namecheap outage broke the site which was enough motiviation to move. 6 years ago, in the early days of the pandemic I had some time on my hands so decided to finally improve the setup and check out some static site generators. After playing with a few I settled on Hugo, exported the posts from Wordpress and created a Github repo.
